The Prayer Language – Part III – The Disciples’ Prayer – Our Father, In Heaven

Can just 4 words completely revolutionize our personal prayer lives?  They can.

Once we internalize the truth Jesus shared in Matthew 6:8, that “our Father knows what we need before we ask him,” we can suspend our “to do” lists that often dominate our prayers, and we can confidently pray the way God wants us to.  And how is that?  By starting our prayers with 4 words: “Our Father, in Heaven.”

Sounds simple, but how do we do that without “heaping up empty phrases” (Matthew 6:7)?  That’s the focus of Part III of our series.
